Downtown is "Da Bomb"

I have been living in downtown Syracuse, more specifically Franklin Square, for three months now. I moved from Chittenango, NY to Syracuse to be closer to my job in Liverpool and to immerse myself in everything the city has to offer. Since moving downtown I have been thoroughly happy with my decision.

I have visited and lived in a number of cities, small and large, and Syracuse is right up there with my favorites. Everything is a five minute walk away; Onondaga Lake and the Inner Harbor, retail stores, my favorite bars and restaurants, the grocery store, theatres and museums. This removes the need for spending all my time in my car and wasting money on gas. Now, I am trying to convince my company to move downtown so I can just get rid of my car all together! :)

Although I do wish the "no dining on the sidewalk after 12AM policy" was never enforced (as eating outside in the squares is what is so great about the summer), the pros most definetly outweigh the cons. My rent is reasonable, I have made a considerable amount of friends and valuable contacts by being downtown where things "happen." It is great to have access to everything and be so accessible to my friends and associates. Plus, my apartment has made for a great beginning and ending of a bachelor party (or a normal Saturday night in Armory).

I truly believe that downtown Syracuse has everything you need to live a happy and fulfilling life.
