I checked out Syacuse Stage's A BOMB-ITTY of Errors on opening night back in April of 2008 and I have to say, it was the most fun I have ever had watching a play! Funky beats, wicked rhymes, killer comedy and off the wall dance moves made this show one of my all time favorites.
Based on Shakespeare’s A Comedy of Errors, Syracuse's adaptation is truly "da bomb!" Mixing in current events, music and pop culture with a classic story are what make this event so hard to resist.
There is some true talent in this play - four men who change costumes (and thus characters) as often as the music switches up - they (with the help of their trusty DJ) leave nothing to be desired. Rapping, singing, beat-boxing, dancing, comedy and acting - what else could you ask for?
Whether you are a hip hop fan or not, this show will get your head bobbin' and face grinnin' quicker than you can imagine.

Syracuse Stage's description:
Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors comes in for an “ad-rap-tation†as four gifted performers hit the street to launch an assault of non-stop, lightning-paced, side-splitting comedy. With its origin in the Roman playwright Plautus’ wild comedy The Menaechmi, the play involves two sets of identical twins and multiple cases of mistaken identity. This latest incarnation is a hip-hop, rap romp retelling of the famous comedy. After all, the Bard was a master of “word.â€
So, for all of you out there that don't think a play is "for you," check out Syracuse Stage's upcoming season - you'll be pleasantly surprised!
