MetLife is a wonderful company to work for, I think one of the most underappreciated actually, and provides you with a career instead of a job. Naysayers beware! There are jobs available and good ones at that. Much like yourself I heard of careers in the financial world before. I also immediately dismissed them.

"No, no, I know all about that industry and I'm not asking my friends and family to buy stuff from me," I'd say.

Once I started working here in the marketing department I realized a few key things. One, it's not rude to call your friends and family and ask them to protect their hard earned money and assist in its growth. It's a responsibility and a privilege. Two, there are good jobs in Syracuse and enough people don't know about them! Three, this job is the perfect fit for someone who currently should be working here and isn't, and that's a shame.

The people who enjoy financial careers enjoy it because they like helping others, they enjoy meeting new people, are ambitious, hard working and enjoy a flexible schedule.
