Syracuse Habitat for Humanity proudly announces the second Women Build Project, scheduled to break ground in September 2007. This unique Project empowers women to build Habitat homes, enabling them to positively impact the lives of children by making homeownershop a present reality for familes.
All Women are welcome to participate in the Women Build 2007 Project. Please contact the Syracuse Habitat for Humanity offices at 315.422.2230 to confirm your participation and for additional information.
About Women Build 2007:
Women Build is not about excluding men; it’s about including women. Women are often intimidated on a ‘mixed’ construction site; but in the comfortable environment of a Women Build site, they quickly learn construction skills. Women need not wait for others to address substandard housing issues. They have the capability and determination to be part of the solution – one family at a time.
About Syracuse Habitat for Humanity:
During the past 22 years, Syracuse Habitat for Humanity has built or renovated over 50 non-profit houses that have been sold to selected families through interest-free mortgages. Syracuse Habitat for Humanity creates partnerships within the community by crossing racial, cultural, political and economic barriers. The organization strives to eliminate substandard housing in the Near Westside, and to restore quality of life. For more information, visit www.syracusehabitat.org or call 315.422.2230.
